      General Info
      Deseret Industries is a nonprofit, vocational rehabilitation facility and a thrift store. With more than 45 stores, the agency serves individuals in Arizona, California, Idaho, Nevada, Oregon, Utah and Washington. It receives donations from merchandises and volunteers. Deseret Industries rehabilitative program encourages the development of self-reliance in several areas, such as vocational, psychological, social and physical. It identifies ward and stake members who require rehabilitation and vocational training. The agency then refers them to the rehabilitation services training program. Deseret Industries also runs the community partnership program serves homeless individuals, refugees, troubled teenagers, veterans and impoverished families. It is sponsored by The Church of Jesus Christ of Latter-day Saints.
