Provided by DexKnowsI was driving to the through Salida from Kansas. I saw this little restaurant and decided to go for it! Absolutely one of the most amazing experiences of my life! I ordered a glass of Riesling and Cajun Chicken Pasta. It was amazing, the service was phenomenal! And the free appetizer of bread and butter was delicious! This restaurant if definitely on my list to return to. The place was super clean, staff was really friendly, view was amazing and the food came out quick. My group of three was in and out in 45 minutes. The atmosphere was romantic, but family friendly at the same time. I paid $20 + tip for a huge portion of amazing pasta and a glass of wine, plus a free appetizer.

Provided by DexKnowsWe dined at the Twisted Cork over the weekend - it was my wife and my fourth time there and we decided to take my parents there who were visiting from NY state. We have liked the food there on past occasions. We were sufficiently snubbed by our curly-haired blond waitress and not sure why. My father, who was having some stomach problems asked for some crackers, then a grilled cheese, then just something lite, was refused each time without suggestions. She never re-filled our water or coffee, never asked us if we were doing ok, didn't ask if we wanted anything else or dessert and proceeded to take our food plates away without asking if we wanted a box. Then she practically tossed the check down without saying a single word to us. Content to just leave at that point, my mother decided to tell this young lady (nicely, I may add) why she was not going to get a good tip. She proceeded to yell a very immature "SORRY" to her in front of a whole table of elderly guests. Upon walking ou

Provided by YP.comTwisted Cork Cafe has a really nice casual atmosphere inside and is very clean. It is really nice at nighttime when they turn the outdoor lights on. A group of thirteen people went, and I first ordered the Chocolate Martini. It took a little long to get, but it tasted really good and came in the fancy martini glass. For dinner I ordered the salmon with veggies and a baked potato for $18. The salmon was very moist and was fresh tasting. They give you a large piece of salmon as well. The veggies were a little greasy. The baked potato was a little dry so I asked for a cup of salsa to put on it. The salsa came right away and made it taste much better. Servie was good and the restrooms were clean. Overall I thought it was good for entertaining purposes, but would probably not go back on my own next time I am in Salida.
I am a vegetarian and my husband is not. We went to the Twisted Cork for our anniversary and were very pleased to find this quality of restaurant in Salida. We've been there twice now and the menu is varied enough that it is difficult to decide. Very nicely spiced without being overdone and beautifully served. I'd go back tomorrow if it weren't 90 miles away!
