Did not get the room we reserved (months ahead of time),non smoking-smelled of smoke, very dirty, torn furniture, shower leaked so bad, could hardly get enough water from it, walls are peeling, piled refridgerators and other items by staircase. Manager, Rajita, promised shower would be repaired that day, it was never fixed. Manager not there at checkout, we were told he would call us, but never did. Complained to Howard Johnsons and told we would get a 20% rebate on our credit card, 3 weeks later, still have not seen that.

Poor accomadations...rooms are dirty, sheets smell of smoke, sink was plugged , bathroom light and fan were out. On the staff part there was no hurry to fix this. I find at today's prices this needs updating and staff that has service/hostess experience. Location is wonderful ,motel is not!!! Not recommending only as a last resort to camping

Refused to honor Priceline purchase. Front desk clerk, Marcy, lied to me about not getting the reservation. Priceline called and she refused to take the call. Terrible experience, no refund. Do yourself a favor and go to another hotel.

this is an excellent hotel right on top of the mountains w/ an excellent view of Salem and Roanoke Valley. close to restaurants, downtown, parks, grocery stores, etc. very clean, large room w/ couch and microwave and refrigerator. Very very clean. very nice pool and pet friendly. the price was excellent too. we have family in Salem and will def. stay her again. and surprising a huge free breakfast too! very nice!
