After reading the online reviews we decided to try this place out. We printed a coupon good for a free appetizer which they would not honor because we got there at 6:03 and it was only good from 4:00-6:00. We ordered the calamari appetizer and I ordered a Caesar salad. The calamari was a mixture of small rings and small whole squid deep fried with a side of garlic Aioli. Though the Aioli was very good the calamari was a bit overdone, probably due to the non uniform size pieces.

The spaghetti and meatballs which my daughter ordered off the regular menu was a very large portion of pasta and three good sized meatballs for about $9.00. The sauce was overly sweet and the meatballs had a dry meatloaf texture, which she did not care for, but they were spiced well and I liked the texture. My wife ordered the Pollo Parmigiana which came with a small side of fettuccine Alfredo for $14.00. I did not try the fettuccine but the chicken was very good and the sauce, savory and well spiced. I ordered Misto Mare Shrimp in a lemon, white wine, caper, Shrimp, scallops, and white fish in and butter sauce over linguine noodles white wine, garlic, and fresh herb sauce over linguine noodles for $15.00.

My main issue here aside from the dodgy calamari, was the fact that the entree's that my wife and I ordered were such small portions relative to the price. I understand that seafood is always going to carry a premium price but the quality was nothing special. The flavors while not bad were not great, was just a so-so dining experience. I will not be in a big hurry to go back.

Overall I give the food two stars, the server four stars and management two stars. If there were a two and a half star rating I would have given it that.

This is the most amazing new restaurant in Salem! I highly recommend it. The food is utterly fabulous, prices reasonable, staff friendly and attentive. I'm telling everyone I know about Gamberetti's. So glad to have discovered them!

My wife and I wnt there for dinner on Sunday evening and really enjoyed the food. You could tell the shrimp were fresh and the ingredients too. We had the Shrimp Gamberetti appetizer, The Chicken Marsala Pasta and Lasagna. I will definitely try the Gorgonzola Tortellini next time and the Mushroom Ravioli the time after that! We will be gong back. Service was quick, the place was clean, overall a good experience.

Wonderful Italian food, great service, and very reasonably priced. We have been back twice since our first visit. Highly recommended. Have only been for dinner but will try them for lunch soon. This is a terrific addition to Salem.

L'ho amato realmente! This is Salem's newest addition to its restaurant scene. My first (among many to come) experience here was fantastic. If the building isn't new, it's a top to bottom remodel. The dcor is tasteful and welcoming. My server was a sprightly, efficient and capable young lady named Torri who made sure my bread basket was never empty except by design. I had "Pesto Pollo" which was chicken, garlic, artichokes and tomato in pine nut & fresh basil pesto over linguini all dusted with Parmesan cheese. Incredible! It was a lunch visit, so I didn't view their wine list. But judging from everything else I observed, I'll bet it's a good one. I hope this place enjoys the patronage a first look suggests it deserves.
