      General Info
      Governed by the state of Oregon, the Economic and Community Development Department provides cultural enhancement and throughout the state and administers several programs that assist businesses, communities and people with creating and retaining jobs. It also handles issues related to changing economy, funding and community development solutions for statewide rural and distressed communities. The department offers counseling, market research, and international business partner identification and evaluation services for small- and medium-sized commercial and industrial clients. It serves a liaison for visiting foreign diplomats and international trade missions, as well as works to promote Oregon-based companies products and solutions on international level. Additionally, the Economic and Community Development Department offers assistance with business plan preparation and financial and personnel management services.
