I walked in with grown out blonde dyed hair and wanted to go back my natural brown with a blonde weave and nicole did my hair, it turned out amazing love it so much! I'm so going there again :):)

I walked in on a whim, and came out with one of the best hair cuts I've had in ages. That includes cuts which cost more than 15 times what the Academy charges. Very friendly, personable staff. Definitely going back for my next cut!

The 1st time we went there we weren't happy with the kids' cuts, but we tried to give them the benefit of the doubt (after all this is a school). The 2nd time was it though, I will NEVER go there again! I rarely complain & figure the person was having a bad day, but this was too much. This visit one of my sons and I were ignored about wanting to keep his hair long, but he ended up thinking it was o.k. (very short albeit) minus getting scratched all over by the shaver! My other son cried. Me, his dad, & him told the guy we wanted to keep it 2 '' long all the way around. He has no hair now, the guy ignored us, & made it seriously crooked on top of also scratching his neck repeatedly! When we told him we were unhappy he just shrugged, and the people at the desk were very rude. Then they said never give money back because the students are just learning. I get that, but even I could cut a semi-straight line. Never did they apologize. When I said I wouldn't be back they said good!

As with most salons, I've found that some of thier cuts are good, some are bad, and it's the same with the workers. But the only times I've ever gotten a 'bad' cut was when I wasn't specific enough about what I wanted, and that is my own fault. $5.00 is definitely worth a cut here. An instructor will always come by and check your hair and make any corrections if they feel they need to. Also, I've had protein treatments and bleaches done here, and they've never damaged my hair during a bleaching, which I honestly explected would happen, because a student was doing it. All in all, I don't have any complaints about them, and I will continue to get my hair done here because of the friendly atmostphere. (:

Our entire family have gotten their hair cut there for years. We have always had good cuts except for one time. I have gotten bad $40 hair cuts too at other places. I would rather pay $4.95 and take my chances. The instructor always comes and does a "hair check" before you leave.

I Got My Hair Cut Here And It Is Absolutely The Worst Hair Cut I've Ever Had. I Take Good Care Of My Hair, And They Had ME Walking Out Of There With A Choppy, Mulet Type Look. I've Always Had Really Nice, Long, Pretty, Hair; Now It's Gross. I've Been Crying For 2 Days Now. This Is Ridiculous. Then They Tried To Tell Me That I Asked For That. I Clearly Did Not Ask For That. Plus, Im Only 13, And They Shouldn't Be Letting Minors Get Their Hair Cut Without An Adult.DO NOT EVER GO HERE.
