My girlfriend showed some pictures of ombre and highlights and from the get go the lady gave looks like they were impossible to attain. Yes, we both have dark hair and blonde hair takes a few times to reach without ruining your hair, but she wasn't even open to it nor caring for the business of us possibly returning if she could sell us the fact that she could give us the desired color we wanted. ,The lady kept saying "It wouldn't happen today.." Duh lady!! Personally, I like to judge my stylist by the look of their hair quality and I was not impressed so it didn't surprise me she was too scared to actually try. Well the picture we showed had chunky peekaboo highlights and this lady was doing thin highlights like she was on some kind of roll from constantly highlighting these elderly ladies hair. I asked a few questions while she was coloring her hair and she would literally look at me rolling her eyes and just shake her head like nope, shooting down every idea and question I had. She was in a hurry. Then, she started looking at the outcome of the highlights that were finished and said she thought she woudnt even have to put on a toner because they looked like they were changing to the perfect color. Mhmmm... less work, less product..laziness. So she rinsed all the highlights blow dried and to her surprise my friends new healthy hair took fine but her bottom color trieated part of her hair did not at all. She blow dried it and had the audacity to ask my friend if she wanted to go over and put the highlights in longer. Um DUH! Half of the top 3 inches were highlighted and the bottom wasn't? Why even ask? Ill tell you why... because some people don't speak up and she would have been fully okay with sending a client home that way if they didn't speak up. Luckily my friend did so she went over and did the highlights again. This time she added the heat dryer space dome thing and couldn't seem to figure out how to place the foils inside to reach the dryer. So she sticks them up in there sitting on the side of the plastic instead of trying to position the dryer to fit properly. It looked like she didn't even know how to work that thing. So she takes them out, they look good, blow dry ect ect...

Now this has nothing to do with her hair skills (or lack thereof) but it really was the straw that broke the camels back for me. So finally after an hour and a half she starts having a little conversation with my friend. They talk about Christmas, kids, ect. This lady tells us she is engaged to this man who has young kids. Hers are older and out of the house. Now when she was talking about these kids, I wanted to back hand her. She says my kids are already grown and he had young kids and she had to do go back and "do it all over again!" rolling the eyes... Oh but luckily they live in Alabama with their mom. But "ugh they came for Christmas break" My friend says "Oh how nice!" and again with the eye roll and words under her breath like "Thank God theyre gone now!" Now I wish to God their father could read this or I could reach him somehow. Sir, you are doing a great disservice to your children by marrying this woman. Her attitude reminds me all to well of my insecure ex step mother. Your kids deserve better and they deserve to be closer to their daddy!

So I didn't go to cosmo school but I know how to curl my hair. She bring the curling iron all the way down to the ends of the hair and rolls up. Am I the only one that is bothered by that technique? The bottom of their hair? The oldest most damaged part? She wants to leave the hot iron directly on the ends for the longest time? Then she says to my friend who had a previous ombre as she is looking at her hair, "yeahhhh ombre really damages the hair bad" with some sour look on her face. Im annoyed. Anyway, there are only two ladies that work there and she was the older one. Didn't care for her much. No tact. So I would not recommend her. The younger girl seemed nice but I don't know her work.
