Vision Loss Resources is an independent nonprofit agency, which assist people who are blind and visually impaired. Located in St. Paul, Minn., it has been operating since 1914. The agency offers two programs, one is called the rehabilitation center and the other program is the community services. Its programs offer a variety of services to enhance the individual needs of its clients. The agency s rehabilitation center teaches techniques and developing skills, such as preparing meals, performing household chores, taking care of clothing, and organizing and managing finances to its clients for living independently. Additionally, it teaches its clients basketry, woodworking and jewelry making. Vision Loss Resources volunteers assist clients with services, such as shopping, reading, telephone reassurance and leisure skills.
