Heraeus Vadnais is a privately held group of companies with operations in more than 30 countries throughout the world. It develops components, materials and technologies for the medical device industry. Its products include wires, electrodes, drive cables and stylets. The company also produces components for a large number of micro applications, including X-ray markers, stent markers, structured micro tubes and tungsten weights. Its in-house capabilities include assembling, coiling, grinding, laser welding, stamping, sputtering, and wire drawing and rolling. Located in St. Paul, Minn., Heraeus Vadnais operates an analytical laboratory, which features metallography, spectroscopy, chemical analysis and cyclovoltametric measurement. The company also operates a research and development group that works with the customers to develop new materials and technologies.
