The Edison Cafe, located on the lower level of the hospital, is open nearly 24 hours a day and offers a wide variety to choices including a deli, grill and salad selections. The Family Resource Center is a health information resource library dedicated to improving the lives and health of children by providing educational materials and opportunities for skill building classes for patients, families and caregivers. The Center also offers a business center. The Olson Family Garden is an interactive rooftop oasis designed expressly for children and families who want a place for privacy, solace and healing. The garden is home to more than 7,000 plants and flowers. The Sibling Playroom offers parents a safe play place for the siblings of patients while their parents visit their hospitalized child or go to an outpatient appointment. The Ronald McDonald Family Room serves as a respite for parents and family members who have to spend countless hours at the hospital with their sick child. The Family Room provides the "comforts of home" free of charge, including laundry facilities, bathrooms with showers, a living room with TV and games, and a kitchen. The Small World Gift Shop offers a variety of gifts, toys, clothing, greeting cards, postage stamps, balloons and sundry items. A laundromat is provided free of charge to patients and their families on the lower level.
