      Precoat Metals, since 1962, has been a leading nationwide supplier of diverse organic coating services, ranging from the functional to the aesthetic. Precoat Metals business is coil coating. It applies protective and decorative coatings to coils of steel and aluminum in a continuous process precisely calibrated to provide consistent, even coating of the substrate. In addition, the company offers supporting services such as printing, embossing and slitting. With nine coating lines at seven plant locations, Precoat Metals is one of the largest coil coaters in the world. Its nine lines have the capacity to coat more than 1 million tons of metal each year. That is approximately 1.2 billion linear feet of steel or enough to circle the globe more than nine times. Precoat Metals is the largest coater of building products in the United States. It also has substantial interests in transportation and the air conditioning and ventilation markets and is the largest independent coil coater of container products. Precoat Metals headquarters is in St. Louis.
