Founded in 1933, Lighthouse for the Blind - St. Louis is also known as LHB Industries. It is a private, nonprofit organization that offers a variety of goods and services to the federal government. It also offers job opportunities to visually impaired people. The organizations hold contracts with more than 25 government agencies and cover over 200 products. Located in St. Louis, the organization also operates a facility in Berkeley, Mo. Its services include packaging of aerosol and liquid paints and cleaning products. It also assembles first aid kits, medical kits and catheters. Additionally, the organization operates a continuing education program that provides educational assistance to visually impaired children. Lighthouse for the Blind - St. Louis employs more than 100 people.
