With a staff of over 350 employees, the district specializes in efficient highway construction and maintenance works. It has expertise in engineering, land acquisition, business planning, and snow and ice control services. The Minnesota Department of Transportation s District 3-Baxter/St. Cloud serves Aitkin, Benton, Cass, Isanti and Crow Wing counties. The district supports more than 20 airports, over five transit systems, nearly 110 miles of paved trails and several travel information centers. In addition, it works for the Minnesota Road Research Project (Mn/ROAD). The Minnesota Department of Transportation is administered by the state government of Minnesota.
