Andrew Wegener, PA-C, is a board-certified physician assistant who works with Dr. Andrew Gelven, an orthopedic surgeon with specialty in sports medicine at SSM Health St. Joseph Hospital – Lake Saint Louis and clinic sites in Wentzville and at Kisker Road in St. Charles. Andrew assists Dr. Gelven in surgery and provides care for patients 18 and older in clinic. Andrew received a Bachelor of Science degree in biomedical science from Southern Illinois University and received a Master of Science degree in physician assistant studies from Shenandoah University in Winchester, Virginia. He has special interests in sports-related injuries, cartilage restoration, knee injuries, meniscal repair, shoulder injuries, and muscle strains and sprains.
