I have worn glasses my entire life. I have battled with my vision since I was seven years old. I thought there was no hope and that I would have to wear glasses the rest of my life. I have astigmatism aand myopia and I could not drive at night. I would wake up at night and be scared to walk without glasses. I was practically blind. My father told me about Dr. Tartak and other family friends also recommended her. I had no cut lasik surgery and the results were immediate and incredible. I can see so clearly now it is like a miricle. I was so happy when I opened my eyes after surgery and could not stop hugging Dr. Tartak. This is a huge gift given to me by Dr. Tartak.

My vision was completely blurry before my surgery. Another doctor in San Francisco performed the Lasik procedure on my eyes 8 years ago. However, I was not even a candidate for Lasik since I had an eye disease known as, KERATOCONUS, so this doctor misdiagnosed my eye disease. Any person with KERATOCONUS is not a candidate for Lasik I have since discovered. I have endured 8 terrible years of severely deteriorating eyesight to 20/8000 (legally blind) due to the mis-diagnosis by this other San Francisco doctor (who later said he didn’t know what was wrong with my eyes). I had been told by many other eye surgeons (who were average at best), that my only option was a major and costly surgery, Corneal Transplants in both my eyes. I was devastated by this option but fortunately through a referral by patients of Dr Tartak with this condition, and I can truly say that she saved my vision and my life. Dr. Tartak immediately diagnosed my condition and advised the correct and my only surgical alternative: Intacs corneal ring segments with subsequent Collagen Cross Linkage to strengthen the cornea. It has only been a few weeks after my Intacs surgery and I can’t describe the miracle of regaining my eyesight again. The very first day after my surgery I could see again and I began to cry tears of happiness and joy. Today my vision is now 20/20 in my right eye and 20/25 in my left eye without glasses or contact lenses. I have now come to know a lot more about Dr. Tartak and her exceptional skills as a surgeon and a pioneer in the area of Intacs and Keratoconus. I am impressed by her on many levels since she is truly a warm, caring doctor in addition to a skillful and brilliant eye surgeon. She is always there for you in a way that other eye doctors had not done for me before. I cannot thank her enough for what she did for me and to all her staff also many-many-many thanks. Yes, her waiting room is always busy but she has patients from all parts of the country because of her expertise in this condition like myself who travelled from San Francsico to Los Angeles to be treated by her. I can honestly say that I would have travelled even further to be her patient. I will always remember Dr Tartak with the utmost gratitude and respect.

Went to DMV and did not pass because I couldn’t see the letters. Was bummed out. I decided to see Dr. Tartak since a buddy had surgery with her and recommended her as the best. That same day I had my LASIK surgery. That was 2 weeks ago and today on my check up I am 20/20 !! Can’t believe I have perfect vision. I will now be able to get my driver’s license. I had my eyes done couple weeks ago. Now I Can See!!!!!! I am in my 30s and I had used glasses since age 6. So my friend's sister recommended Lasik, and Dr. Tartak. I went for the check and btw it was free! BOOM! People there are super friendly, and helpful. Two weeks later they did the procedure, super fast and by the next day I opened my eyes and I was AMAZING. I cried like a baby, jumped out of joy when I saw how beautiful and clear I could see. I recently had Laser Cataract Surgery with Dr. Tartak. What a fantastic experience! It was done with a laser, no cut or anesthesia. One year ago I had my cataract removed from my other eye with a doctor in Los Angeles. This was the place my health insurance paid for. Terribly scary. I was put under anesthesia and had the cataract removed by cutting the cornea, I was in so much pain after. I could barely see from far, couldn't read or drive, and needed reading glasses still.
A friend had surgery with Dr. Tartak and recommended her. I am so grateful she did. I was very impressed with her training and experience. She is world renowned. Best of all she is warm and caring and has the best technology for cataract surgery. It’s done with laser, no cutting my eyes and no anesthesia and there’s no stitching or pain afterward. The lens used was a gel type, which gave me perfect distance and near vision. I am 20/20 at far and 20/20 at near!!! I can see everything now without the need for glasses. I am able text, answer my phone knowing who’s calling, read my bible and drive at night without glasses. And best of all, the results will remain for life. I am so happy I can’t even believe it. Don’t make my previous mistake of going for cataract surgery the old fashioned way, don’t get your corneas cut and get an old lenses for distance vision only. And worst of all, going under anesthesia. So risky! Do yourself a favor and look at all your options before you have cataract surgery. Your insurance won’t cover this, but I rather pay than have my vision compromised again. She literally save my eye! If you are really looking for the best go see Dr. Tartak. She is the most amazing surgeon with the latest technology laser to remove cataract . Don’t just take my word and go see for yourself. She gave me back my vision, am forever grateful!

Best Birthday Gift ever!!
Turned 18 last week and did my LASIK surgery that same day. I am so extremely happy with the results. I am now 20/20. Finally able to see things clearly instead of through those thick glasses I had been wearing since I was 12. All my family and many friends had their surgeries with Dr. Tartak so I knew she would be the only doctor I would go to when I turned 18. Dr. Tartak is so nice and very experienced. She made me feel very relaxed and spoke to me during the surgery. I only saw lights and didn’t feel a thing. She did my LASIK without cutting my corneas and used the most advanced laser. I was so relieved to know that my corneas would not be cut. Really amazing technology and excellent doctor. If you’re considering having LASIK go see Dr. Tartak where you’re corneas won’t be cut. I had Pterygium surgery with another doctor and he cut my cornea that left me with scarring in my cornea and loss of vision down to 20/400. At the age of 12, I noticed my vision was very blurry. I went to an eye doctor in Mexico but all he gave me was glasses, he never told me what condition I had in my eyes. I would like to share my story on how Dr. Tartak restored my vision. When I was 20 years old I was diagnosed with severe Keratoconus. I would use hard contact lenses to allow me to see a little bit clearer. Unfortunately the contact lenses were not enough. My dad heard about a doctor named Dr. Tartak who has a vast expertise in Keratoconus. I reside in Odessa, Texas, and I decided to drive out to California to see if Dr. Tartak could help me with my condition. They were really nice, had sandwiches as snacks, coffe, water while you wait. They were always super understanding, and were willing to wait when I was running late even after closing. Because I traveled from a far, I recently got discharged with a vision of 20/25 my vision before was 550/20 & 330/20 without glasses and with classes, it was 30/20. Nurse Silvia in particular was super nice always willing to reschedule and picking up my calls even when the office was closed, she always goes above and beyond for her patients and I appreciate it greatly, I recommend this place 100%

I went to get my eyes checked when a friend of mine told me this was a great doctor. I have worn glasses and contacts since grade school. The staff was very friendly and helpful. Dr. Tartak diagnosed me with myopia and astigmatism and I signed up and did same day surgery on both my eyes. . Dr. Tartak performed no cut lasik and the procedure was fast and pain free. My brother recommended me to Dr. Tartak because he had his eye surgery at her clinic. I am 24 years old and visited Dr Tartak's office to have an eye consultation. She diagnosed me with keratoconus which is a progressive eye disease that deforms the cornea. Before getting my surgery done by Dr. Tartak, my vision was really bad and I would see very blurry which prevented me from working. Being a mechanic and wearing glasses was a disadvantage for me because they would just keep falling off and would get dirty and many other things. I had lasik done with the newest technolgy laser allegretto 400 here two weeks ago!! It was an awesome experience!!!! The staff is very friendly and the doctors are fantastic. I went for my free exam and was so impressed with Dr. Tartak that I had my eye surgery right there the same day. I wore glasses for 10 years and now I am 20/15 in both eyes!!!
