We called several places in Austin about problems we were having with our Mitsubishi TV. We got quotes from $350 to $450 to repair the optical unit. Bill at Advanced Electronics told me that probably the problem was the generic lamp we installed. He ordered a certified Mitsubishi lamp, and just in case came to our house with the optic part to install if the lamp did not work. As he predicted, the new lamp worked fine.
