Potrero Heights Elementary School offers a variety of educational and enrichment programs to students in kindergarten through grade five. It is a part of the Montebello Unified School District, which offers education to more than 35,000 students through various elementary, middle and high schools. The Montebello Unified School District is one of the largest school districts in Los Angeles County, Calif. Potrero Heights Elementary School has a parent-teacher association that promotes the welfare of children and youths in home, school and community. It operates a homework club that helps to develop academic skills. Additionally, Potrero Heights Elementary School offers after-school tutorial programs that are conducted by classroom teachers for students in the need of special individualized instructional support.
