Apex Tool Works, founded in 1919 as a tool and die shop that specialized in precision tooling, was expanded in 1935 to concentrate on the design and manufacture of tooling and tooling systems for the can and container industries. It is a worldwide supplier of products and services that include multiple, double and single-cavity end dies for beer, beverage and food containers, coil sheeting dies for straight and scroll cutting applications, curler tooling, flanging dies and rings, beader rings and rolls, die cover plates, special tooling for the production of aerosol domes, glass jar twist-off caps, paint can rings and plugs, 55- and 85-gallon drum covers, bottoms and pail heads, spare die components, and turn-key can end lines.
