ALR forensics is a cutting edge forensic laboratory devoted exclusively to the examination of handwriting and documents. At ALR, a forensic scientist will use the latest methods and practices available to investigate your case. Our client base ranges from single-attorney practices to larger legal firms and private individuals, including civil, criminal, and administrative cases. Typical cases include probate matters, matrimonial disputes, landlord/tenant disputes, medical malpractice, and corporate litigation. At the conclusion of the examination phase, I am available and qualified to testify as an expert witness on your behalf. My courtroom testimony often includes state of the art demonstrative aids such as court charts, powerpoint presentations, and other forms of hands-on demonstrations to illustrate my conclusions. The cases ALR receives are not exclusively handwriting. We are often requested to detect whether or not alterations have been made to a document or determine the age of a document for example. It is important to note that a forensic document examiner, like myself, cannot interpret personality traits from handwriting. This practice is called graphology for which there is no scientific basis.
