She served an internship with the Rock Island County State’s Attorney Office during her third year of law school, Davenport, Iowa, Keys became a practicing attorney in 1992. She received a Bachelor of Arts degree at Marycrest International University, and her Juris Doctor degree at DePaul University of Law, and the Illinois Trial Lawyers Association., traveling back from Chicago to participate in numerous trials.
