Founded in 1964, Gage Elementary School is a part of Rochester Public Schools, District 535 and has an enrollment capacity of 600 students. Based in Rochester, Minn., it focuses on communication skills, such as reading, writing, speaking, and listening, along with mathematics, problem solving, study skills, thinking, and citizenship. The school offers regular classroom instruction in basic subjects, along with special areas, including art, computer literacy, music and physical education. It also provides additional academic support to students beyond the regular school day, under the Afterschool Academy program, along with encouraging parent involvement with the Gage Parent-Teacher-Organization (PTO).
