- OsteoporosisOsteoporosis is a condition where the bones become brittle and more fragile. A bone density exam is a screening test for osteoporosis. It is recommended that screening for osteoporosis be done every two years beginning at age 65. If you are due for a bone density exam, your provider can give you an order to have one done.

- Cervical CancerA pap smear is a screening test for cervical cancer. It tests for the presence of precancerous or cancerous cells on the cervix. The American Cancer Society recommends that women be screened for cervical cancer beginning at age 21. Pap smears can be done in our office, or at your gynecologist’s office.
- Colon CancerThe American Cancer Society recommends that men and women be screened for colon cancer beginning at age 50. This screening must be done at a surgical center and requires general anesthetic.
- Prostate CancerThe American Cancer Society recommends that men be screened for prostate cancer beginning at age 50. Prostate cancer screening tests include the digital rectal examination (DRE) and the prostate specific antigen (PSA) blood test.
