The facilities are good but the manager has anger management issues. Loves to yell and swear at the ladies especially. Don't park on his grass! And whatever you do don't ask for your money back on his laundry machines.

A surprise in the middle of WY. We stayed here twice in the last two years in our fifth wheel. The first stay was in July and the park was abloom with flowers even in the sparkling clean restrooms. The staff was very friendly and helpful, even the maintenance folks. As their advertising said it was obviously designed by an RVer. Our second stay was an emergency trip in Feburary and not the best time to be traveling in WY winter. Sure enough the park was ready for us and we had a pleasant stay. I believe these folks thought of everything an RVer would need in winter but because they are in the city limits they cannot sell propane but a source is close. We will be back for a longer stay as there is much to see and enjoy in the area and the staff will help you find the best whatever you time schedule.

General Info
One of the finest places to park your RV is the Wind River RV Park. Based on one rating scale, it ranked in the top 28 in the United States, and in another, it was named the best in Wyoming. In 1999, it rated as one of the top 17 parks nationally. That's why Joe Pepper, Park Manager said he has a return business rate of 22 percent. When you walk into the place, Pepper and his staff treat you as if they know you. One man from a small town near Laramie was shocked when he stepped in, not expecting the outpouring of friendship. The park was started a few years ago by a couple from California and can take up to 60 RVs. Pepper said it has showers "nicer than many people have at home", cable TV, a commercial Laundromat, and the maximum amount of electricity for power hookups. Most customers are on their way to Yellowstone or the other national parks, but Pepper said that if they get within 100 to 150 miles of this park, they will find their way there, allowing National RV magazines and the ratings guides to work their magic. "The ones who come here want to be here," Pepper said.
