Public School 66, located in Richmond, N.Y., offers classes in grades kindergarten through five and serves more than 450 students. It offers subjects, such as reading, writing, language, mathematics, social studies and science, music, computer and physical education. The school also provides special education programs for underprivileged children, such as computer instruction, literacy program, great books strategies, and recognition programs. The school provides a well-equipped library that offers a wide range of books, and reference material, and a computer laboratory. Its sports activities include football, baseball, softball, and track and field. Public School 66 also organizes parent-teacher association that assists in various school activities. It has a student council, which assist in organizing fund-raising activities and also offers field trips.
