I have done business with Arlene's Flowers for years and have always had great service, timely delivery and always fresh flowers.

This fantastic small local business is now under attack by radicals who are trying to force all businesses to give up their freedom of conscience and provide their services at events such as a gay wedding that the business owner is morally opposed to. This is NOT homophobic! This is an issue of FREEDOM of conscience in America! The owner of Arlene's Flowers is opposed to the event and not the person.

My family and I have been ordering from Arlene's for years and have had decent service. Recently I have had less then acceptable service and will no longer be using this company. With the combination of unacceptable customer service and the recent facts that have come to surface about discrimination against the gay community and Washington state laws that have been broken by Arlene Flowers that were reported in the news paper and on the news, locally and nationally such as The Huffington Post, this has helped me form an educated decision not to support Arlene Flowers ever again. I hope this post will help save some people possible embarrassment /hurtful outcome that may result in doing business with this company.

This business is discriminatory.There is a story in the March 13, 2013 issue of The Stranger, a newspaper in Seattle, about this business PUBLICLY ADMITTING being homophobic!!!(Also online)Shame on them.Do not patronize!!!!!!!!

Prejudice is bad for business, and it certainly won't get my business. This narrow and sad policy of denying flowers to those celebrating love, commitment and happiness is mean-spirited, ugly and most certainly not Christlike. As a Christian I value the grace of God's love whenever it is shared by a committed couple.



Businesses such as Arlene's Flowers simply need to fade away.



If you support love, happiness, respect and tolerance, then you can't shop at Arlene's Flowers. You certainly have the right to express your opinion. I certainly have the right to deny you my business.

After delivering the wrong flowers, it took them 6 hours to pick up the wrong ones, only to deliver a different set of wrong flowers.Called to correct the issue, and was simply told that they are allowed to substitute flowers, so instead of roses for valentines, they send daisys!!Cheap, unprofessional and would never use them again.

i.e., A lAdvice for anyone looking at using Arlenes for Valentines: DON'T BOTHER! They recently delivered the wrong bouquet twice, and when i called to get it fixed, they simply said that it is within their right to substitute flowers. Therefore inst...ead of the beautiful Rose & Carnation vase that my husband ordered, we got cheap daisys and lots of greenery. 5 rose stems in a $65 arrangement.... REALLY??!!!!
