Always fresh and flavorful. Friendly staff, generous portions and decently priced. I would give it five stars but Lakeside Thai just north on Rainier Ave is the five star.

Service is good and the staff is friendly. Great Calamari....tender and delicious. It is best when you order it at the restaurant rather than take out. The curries are great! We call in and order for take out often and it is still tasty and good when we get it home. The take out order is ready for pick up on time.

Mediocre, not what I was expecting. Pleasant environment friendly staff, but the food doesn't match their menu desriptions. I ordered rice and it did not come with the vegetables that the menu said it did. We filled our own water several times the restaurant was over half empty. The Pad thai was blah..bland...not even fulfilling with way to much sauce scarce on the veggies. Overall I will not be spending my hard earned money there anymore.

Vegetarians, beware of this restaurant's menu. There is a section labeled ""vegetarian,"" and every item contains fish sauce. The only things available for vegetarians at this restaurant is a special request for ""no fish sauce,"" and plain rice. I had a specially requested ""no fish sauce"" veggies & tofu, and it was flavorless and bland. Not spicey at all, with what seemed to be just soy sauce as a sauce. Do yourself a favor and go elsewhere.

We just discovered this place and they have the best Phad Thai I've ever tasted anywhere.Service was elegant and fast, the Thai iced tea was superb, and everything was super fresh, lovely and delicious. Highly recommended!!!

Royal Orchid used to be one of my favorite places for Thai. However, something has happened.
I dont know if there are new owners, new chefs or what, but the food is terrible. Even the Phad thai was bad and that is a pretty easy dish (in my opinion anyway). I could not eat my meal.
The service was good and wait staff friendly. That is the only positive I can state about this place.

For the Thai standard in Washington, the Royal Orchid offers pretty good food. Phad thai here is great. The peanuts and bean sprouts are crispy and crunchy, surrounded by noodles embedded with the delicious phad thai spices. I prefer the maximum spicey level for that little extra ""kick"". The seafood here is great with good portions! The mussels are plump and large with mouth-watering sauce! Seafood stir fry offers less seafood but bathed in addictive & spicey sauces. The service is probably the best I've seen in Renton, and probably the most polite I've ever seen in a Thai restaraunt. The environment doesn't fit my model for a romantic experience, but there is a hint of class to make Royal Orchid stand out in the ""classless Renton."" The prices are competative, not spendy or a budget. Royal Orchid is definetly on the better side of Thai food in Washington.

This small but immaculate restaurant is a great value for lunch. The pad thai is excellent and the service is always polite, prompt and non-intrusive. Some of the best curry I've had also. Highly recommend!!!

After growing up in Kent/Renton area my life I was only recently introduced to Royal Orchid from some of my Asian friends. From the way it looked at the time I would have never drove by and decided on this restaurant. Thankfully I went with friends and have been a repeat customer. Can't go wrong here. Excellent all around selection. Everyone I've brought here has been very happy with the experience and the food. Too bad it's next to that dump of a hotel.

Thank goodness there is a terrific Thai restaurant in Renton. There are so few Thai restaurants to choose from in Boeing country. The food is fantastic, there's lots of yummy dishes to choose from and the service is always prompt and friendly.
