“It’s less than you think”

After “semiretirement” in early 2007, I became quite bored. I wasn’t yet a ‘Grandma’ and I wasn’t yet ready to retire…so, I convinced myself to come out of retirement and jumped feet and heart first into the kitchen remolding business. It was really great, my son Jason and his wife Chelsea came on board to help start the business. Within the first six-months, not only did our business grow but so did our family; we welcomed my first grand-baby Deegan. As part of a family business Deegan followed suit and came to work every day. We were thinking both as a family and a business; then the economy started to descend. We closed our business and all the hard work we had put into growing it – we watched crumble. After two-years I decided to start back up – I love what I do, so why wouldn’t I? For 3 years we continued to grow both the business and as a family, again. I now have Deegan and Ayla. Jason and Chelsea, both who had worked so hard to help create the business in the beginning, now have successful careers of their own. After all the ups and downs of the economy – I still love what I do and am looking forward to the future and expanding Kitchen Cabinets Reno!
