After reading the comments on Yelp, I realized that my situation with Jing's open house was neither singular nor surprising. At the Elmhurst open house, she constantly asked if I have any buyer's agent, or real estate agent representing me. As the seller's agent representing the house, she kept on saying that many people liked the house and that if I have any remote interest I should just sign an agreement with her so that she can act diligently for me in the negotiation process with the owner of the house. I was dumbfounded by her snake oil sales tactic and she made it seemed mission impossible to buy the house because the property was so hot. She asked me to pay her $1,000 in cash in order act in my favor and that she will negotiate to the best of her ability if I "hire" her exclusively for the deal. I kindly rejected her offer on the basis that the whole process appeared to be a conflict of interest and I would have no guarantee if I pay her $1000 in cash.



It is the real estate salespeople like her who ruined the smooth and excitement for the home buying process. Someone should really let these poor owners know what she is doing behind their backs. AMEN...
