      The Portage County Engineer s office, governed by Portage County in Ohio, is responsible for the maintenance of county's highways, road and bridges. It works toward the maintenance, repair, widening, resurfacing, reconstruction and construction of pavements. The office also provides traffic control, safety, mowing and snow removal services. The Portage County Engineer s office conducts annual inspections and evaluations for bridges. In addition, it is responsible for the Portage County Tax Map Department.
