Campground is not on the lake as advertised and boat did not work. Management did nothing to compensate us. would not recommend to anyone!

We made the mistake of eating at this restaurant. It is cute and has a good menu, but the portions for adult dinner were smaller than typical children's meals. They served a 1/2 of a small new potato with the fish entree. The fish was dinky, old, and tasted fishy. It was "orange roughy" which shouldn't be "fishy".

My pasta dinner was about a cup of pasta. We actually spent $50 and had to take our family somewhere to eat after (that was a first).

As if this wasn't enough, they knew we were vegetarains and served my husband his dinky partial potato wrapped in bacon and didn't see the problem.

We waited 10 minutes to get more water.

Waste of money, time, still hungry

I was vacationing nearby with my father and my two toddlers and we found this restaurant and I have to say everything was fantastic! The waitstaff was friendly and accommodating to our needs. They didn't rush us the way some restaurants do, which was nice because sometimes it's hard to dine quickly with a 2 & 4 year old. The restaurant itself was clean and nicely decorated. The menu had a nice variety and they had a good selection for the kids. They also had a very good selection of wines. Our steaks (my Dad & I both had the filets) were done to perfection, simply delicious!!! My husband is an Executive Chef and I've had the pleasure of dining at some of the finest restaurants throughout the U.S. and the Virgin Islands and I would have to rate this as one of my favorites. I can't wait to bring my hubby out to South Dakota next summer so he too can enjoy the fine cuisine they serve up at the Horse Creek Inn - Thank you to the wonderful folks there you made our last night in South Dakota a very memorable one.
