Established in 1998, Las Flores Elementary School serves more than 500 students in preschool through grade five. The school s educational program includes instruction in phonics, reading, mathematics, science and social studies. It organizes various hands-on activities, simulations, drama performances and field trips. Las Flores Elementary School also conducts after-school classes. Its facilities include a mobile computer laboratory, library, playground, music room and classrooms. In addition to its academic courses, the school offers special programs in visual arts, Chinese language and elementary music. Las Flores Elementary School is located in Rancho Santa Margarita, Calif., and is operated by the Capistrano Unified School District, which was founded in 1965. The district maintains over 50 campuses and serves nearly 50,000 students.
