      Founded in 1972, Community Blood Bank is a nonprofit organization that has been offering blood and blood products for more than 30 years to hospitals, patients. It also serves other facilities, such as cancer care and home transfusion units and provides services for 24 hours a day. It provides procession and testing of collected blood and offers blood products, such as platelets, plasma, clotting factor and bone marrow tissues. Additionally, it creates public awareness for blood donation thorough and education programs. Community Blood Bank hosts special education program for high school students that covers various issues that include basic science lesson on blood, blood products and their uses as medicine. Community Blood Bank also hosts blood donation camps and is located in Rancho Mirage, Calif.
