After moving to prescott I thought I was always going to have to wear a hat after going to two salons and having my hair a mess with bad color and cuts.The salon is friendly, on time, and most importantly I don't have to wear a hat anymore. Jan listens to what I want and then does it perfectly. The haircut lasts until I need color again. I would recommend to anyone who wants great color and haircuts in a relaxing atmosphere.

I have looked for YEARS in Prescott for someone who could help me look like I had hair - What a relief! - Much to my delight - for the first time - I have second day hair!!! Thanks to Jan at the Borghata working with me - I LOVE my hair for the first time in years!! The salon is always busy and fun and I love all the ladies who work there! No more bad haircuts for me!!!

I've been going to Aborgota for several years now. I know everytime I come in I won't be disappointed. Somehow Jan manages to exceed my expectations every time - no one does color better, well, Sharissa is amazing as well! I frequently get compliments on my hair cut and color so I know it's not just me that is impressed with Jan's work. I've recommended many friends to Aborgota over the years even those that have moved to Prescott from big cities and all my friends have been impressed with the salon and continue to frequent it.

From head to toe this is the place! Over the years I have become quite particular about my hair. Shape, texture, and service are crucial in deciding on a good salon. That being said, Sheila's 20+ years of experience and welcoming attitude were on the money for my needs. With two recent moves under my belt, my hair had suffered a touch of neglect. I just didn't know where to go! Split ends and growth were really cramping my style. From the moment I walked in, Sheila made me feel right at home. She gave me a tour of the beautiful spa that overlooks our sweet town of Prescott. The facilities are peaceful and well-decorated. Post-tour, I was given a choice of coffee or tea and offered a chair at Sheila's station. Sheila, originally from Nashville, is a recent addition to.Prescott. She has gorgeous blond hair and a warm smile. She was attentive and kind as I explained my needs and wants. I have long brown hair that can often times get unruly if the cut is not done correctly. Her attention to detail and experience has left my hair feeling great days and even weeks after the cut. I recently attended a family wedding in LA where I received a multitude of compliments on my hair from family and total strangers. Next week, I will be going back to Sheila to give some color a chance, which is new for me. I trust that she will do a fabulous job. Love this place and the people that fill it!

From the moment I walked through the door, there were 2 women who just sat there and did not greet me until I sat at the front counter for a minute or two. They scheduled me or a consult with Sheila for later that day. Then I rec'd a call there was a mix up and she can see me the next day. Never apologized for the mix up but I rescheduled. The next day saw Sheila for a few moments. She spoke to me with gum in her mouth. I showed her pictures of what I had in mind, told her I know things never turn out like the picture but something similar would be nice. She was very unclear when I think she was trying to tell me what she thinks but between the gum chewing and the unclear answer I was annoyed at the rudeness and waste of time. She did say she could take my money and give me a perm which I found tacky to say. Her own hair looked awful. Bad blonde dye job for her age and looked as if it hadn't been washed. I found another salon that took the time o explain my options and results. Something Sheila should have done if she was any kind of a professional. Overall the customer service was awful from the reception desk to the hair stylist Sheila. She did say she was new and I feel bad for the owner, because of this new horrible stylist, she just los a customer and I will be sure to let everyone know the salon lacks customer service. I would hate to see anyone et treated like this or waste here money. Please go somewhere else. Sorry!

My hair is one of my blessings. It is a source of pride for me.As such, I have been to many salons and stylists in the search of finding that perfect fit. From the first day I walked into A Borgata and received my first cut and color from Jan I knew I had found the perfect salon. Jan has been my "hair whisperer" for 3 happy years now. I have never before had a stylist who not only understands what I want but is able to either make it so, or improve on my original thought. Whatever the case I have always been thrilled with the outcome.Sharissa is also an amazing stylist. She does both my young adult daughter, as well as my teen son. Was very pleased with the service we received at A Borgata salon. Booked hair appointments for all Bridesmaids, Mother's of the Bride and Groom, Grandmother of the Bride, and of course, for me, the Bride. Was in contact on several occasions with Jan and her staff at the salon and each time received pleasant and helpful service. I appreciated their patience, as I'm sure I was being a typical Bride, trying to confirm appointments and triple checking things. On our appointment day, Jan and her staff flawlessly (from what I, the customer could see) juggled two separate weddings and still managed to make us feel like the priority and the focus for the day. We ALL loved our hair, especially Me! Jan did an amazing job working with the picture I provided and listening to what I wanted. My hair looked amazing and lasted all evening -- through rain, sleet, snow, and dancing!!!! Couldn't be happier and would recommend Jan and her staff at A Borgata to anyone! Believe me, you won't be disappointed! :)

HORRIBLE RUDE WOMEN! VERY CONCETED . OUT RAGEOUSLY PRICES! SHARRISA TURNED MY HAIR GREEN THEN REFUSED TO FIX WITH ME PAYING FOR ANOTHER VISIT! SHE ALSO GOT BLEACH ON MY DRESS(THAT I BAUGHT THEDAY BEFOR). THEY SEEM TO DO MORE FOR THEM SELVES AND THERE EMPLOYEES BUT CUSTOMERS ARE SECOND TO LAST CHOICE!I WOULD AND WILL NEVER RECOMEND SHARRISSA THE PLATNIUM PROFESSIONAL. NOT SO PROFESSIONAL.

We were in a wedding party and had booked spa appts the day before the wedding and hair appts the day of the wedding.These booking were made months in advance and I had called at least 3-4 times in the two weeks before the wedding to confirm and make sure the appts were correct. The day before they had messed up all of the spa appts. They did not have enough robes, we had to go from appt to appt in our normal jeans and tee shirts. They did not have towels so the bride could shower prior to going to her wedding rehearsal. The front desk staff were making fun of Asian people, not realizing that I was part Asian and sitting there waiting for my appt. The next day on the day of the wedding as the first bridesmaid was getting her up-do the "Master" stylist used a hairspray that turned her hair grey. Rather than washing it out and starting over she and another stylist spent 20 minutes picking at it and applying oil to neutralize the hairspray. The hair was still grey but we were running out of time so the bridesmaid just left with grey hair. This place is extremely unprofessional. The owner does not take responsibility. I strongly recommend you find someone else to book an appt with if you are going for your wedding.

I booked my appointment and went in on the scheduled day. To begin with I was ignored when I walked in the door, and given dirty looks by the staff who saw me come in. I was not greeted and it took a few minutes before someone even came to assist me. Then...even though they booked my appointment I was told my appointment was not on the books and therefore I had to wait for an opening if I wanted to get my hair done. I waited for over an hour before finally walking out, no one apologized for the inconvenience or offered to make it right. I will never go there again due to their lack of customer service and their unprofessional appearance for a salon. The owner and her staff were wearing purple jean pants. One of the stylist hair looked so horrible I was questioning whether or not I would even like their staff to work on me given the appearance of the employees. You have been warned.

Get the Brazilian Straightener from Sharissa. It took all the frizz out of my hair. Now I can wash it and go. I love, love, love Sharissa and A Borgata.

I recently moved to this area and was looking for a salon. I was attracted by the A Borgata sign, made and appointment, and have not been so staisfied with hair services before - ever! Jan and her staff treated me well; I received an appointment promptly. I have had many really bad experiences, so I was a little anxious when I first went in. Not to worry. Jan is an artist! She analyzed my hair, my features and my lifestyle and within 30 minutes I walked out with a style even I could manage. Jan not only cares about the quality of her work, but about the quality of the experience; I have found that she invests herself totally in her salon, its professionaliism, and her staff, and so do the others working at A Borgata. I highly recommend this salon!

I was AMAZED by this salon. It's in a cute Victorian style home but has all the modern equipment & perks a modern day spa would have. Laura did my nails. Her attention to detail & precision definitely exceeded my expectations of a small town beauty shop. I recommend her :] She does beautiful nail art, embellishment, acrylic, gels, tips, whatever you want; all for a price you wouldn't expect. Her prices are way lower than I thought it would be.

I’ve been to LOTS of salons in many different states over the years, and I’d have to give A Borgata an A ! The owner, Jan, and her staff are super-friendly, down-to-earth and extremely knowledgeable. The salon is in a charming historic building - in keeping with much of Prescott’s flavor. It’s clean, comfortable and the stylists really make you feel AT HOME! I think the pricing’s quite reasonable - I get both cuts AND color/ highlights there, and my stylist went out of her way to help me FINALLY find a style that that’s easy-care and looks terrific, too, i.e. not a "boy-cut". And that was a tall order for a head of hair that always used to look like I styled it with a Mix-Master no matter what I tried!!! And she gave me great advice for home hair care; half my battle was using the wrong kinds of products for years ... not to mention pushy stylists at other salons who never really listened when I tried to explain my crazy hair, so cut it wrong for the way it behaves.
