Edna and Lucy's is a delightful eatery tucked away in Pownal near Bradbury Mountain. Work up an appetite at the mountain then treat yourself to their delicious culinary creations and warm, inviting atmosphere. Servings are generous as are Sabrina and Stephanie, the restraunt's co-owners. Go there once and Sabrina will call you by name the next time you stop by. The "italian sandwiches" are unlike any you've eaten at the typical sandwich shop. They are made on a fresh baked, crusty torpedo-type roll and are topped with the most delicious pickled purple onions. The salads are not your boring garden variety and include such things as walnuts, cranberries and gorgonzola. For the more traditional eater, they make a fantastic burger and fries. My three little fussy eaters thoroughly enjoy Edna and Lucy's for eat in or take out. My husband and I sneak away in the morning for a cup of coffee and a home made donut. GIve it a try for breakfast, lunch or dinner. You'll keep going back!
