The Community State Bank, formerly Poteau State Bank, was formed in 1970 when a few local businessmen saw the need for an additional bank in Poteau, Okla. The company has maintained its corporate office in Poteau while establishing Oklahoma branches in Spiro, Wister, Caboose and at the Wal-Mart Super Center in Poteau. Its goal is to provide the highest quality of banking service while utilizing its resources wisely, ultimately maximizing income and return on assets. Locally owned, the bank assumes an active role in the communities across the county.
