Watt Hardison Elementary is part of the Sumner County School System. The school enrolls more than 550 students in grades kindergarten through five. Admissions are based on a combination of factors that include personal interviews with the students and parents, academic records, admission tests, recommendations from teachers, a classroom visit and related information. The school s curriculum includes reading and writing, language arts, foreign language, math, science and social studies. It also includes art, music, computers and physical education. The school receives financial support from Farmers Bank, Unipress, Bio-Imaging, Albany International and Mitchellville General Baptist. It is located in Portland, Tenn.
