The Portland Fire & Rescue-Logistics Section is responsible for building maintenance, station operations and apparatus management. It employs several facility maintenance supervisors and technicians, firefighter specialists, carpenters and utility workers. The Portland Fire & Rescue Department additionally maintains emergency operations, prevention and management services, and training and safety divisions. It conducts fire safety inspections and offers information regarding firearm injury prevention and motor vehicle and child safety. The department also offers various online forms and permit applications for special events and the installation of fire alarm and sprinkler systems. The Portland Fire & Rescue Department supports Explorer and ride along programs. It is recognized by the Commission on Fire Accreditation International (CFAI). The department is located in Portland, Ore.
