General Info

Dr. Seeger completed his undergraduate degree from Gettysburg College majoring in biology and chemistry graduating magna cum laude with honors in chemistry and inducted into Phi Beta Kappa. He then received a masters degree in organic chemistry at the University of Rochester and did research there in the synthesis of anti-tumor antibiotics. Medical school and general surgery residencies were completed at Thomas Jefferson University where Dr. Seeger trained with Dr. Demetrius Bagley who developed Ureteroscopy (looking directly into the ureter) with newly developed scopes to treat stones and tumors in the urinary tract avoiding more invasive surgery. Dr. Seeger moved to the Treasure Coast after completing his urology training in 1988. He has been actively involved in many leadership roles at both Saint Lucie Medical Center (in Port Saint Lucie) and Lawnwood Regional Medical Center (Fort Pierce) where he has served as Chief of Staff at both institutions and is currently Treasurer at Lawnwood working hard to improve hospital safety for patients. Dr. Seeger is a member of multiple medical societies, is Board Certified by the American Urological Association in adult and pediatric urology and is a fellow of the American College of Surgeons.
