Burley-Glenwood Elementary School offers education to students in kindergarten through sixth grade. Its academic curriculum includes reading, writing, mathematics and social studies. The school also organizes a range of extracurricular programs that includes band, choir, safety patrol, peer mediators and homework club. Additionally, the school has a parent-teacher association that organizes various recreational activities, such as carnivals, family fun nights and multicultural fairs. Burley-Glenwood Elementary School is accredited through the Northwest Association of Accredited Schools. Founded in 1979, its facilities include a library, computer laboratory and more than 20 classrooms. Burley-Glenwood Elementary School is a part of the South Kitsap School District and is located in Port Orchard, Wash.
