Founded in 1980, TideWell Hospice & Palliative Care is an independent, nonprofit organization that serves more than 1,200 patients a day in Sarasota, Manatee, Charlotte and DeSoto counties in the state of Florida. It is one of the largest programs of its kind in the United States. TideWell Hospice & Palliative Care offers a range of spiritual, transition, counseling, and hospital and long-term care services. In addition, the organization provides a variety of bereavement services, such as grief counseling through a range of specialty support groups, such as Survivors of Suicide and Mothers Who Have Lost Adult Children. It also offers a variety of children s services.
