My wife and I love the team here, especially Denys who helped us through a full remodel which involved a full kitchen appliance package and a new washer/dryer. The prices here are competitive and the staff is knowledgeable. We never felt pressured or confused... and we really enjoy our appliances and recommend them to friends.

I've had great success shopping at Friedmans -- over the last 10 years I've bought 2 microwaves, a dishwasher and a clothes washer/dryer. They had all the price selection I needed plus a staff that was knowledgeable about the lines they carried (and some they didn't.) The items that were delivered were on-time and I have NO idea what extra charges other people are talking about. You can go cheaper, but certainly not better.

Once you have paid and are out the door, they NEVER return your calls. Beware of hidden extra costs at the time of installation. e.g., we had agreed on a fixed price for installation at the point-of-sale, but when their contracted installer Weidmann arrived, he double-charged us, for no reason. It was clearly not justified, because nothing out of the ordinary was done. We called Friedman's but they never retured our calls. The salesperson+installer are very good friends.They probably do this to all their customers. Watch out for this type of UNETHICAL BUSINESS PRACTICE. A common complaint is that Friedman's does not recognize or return customer calls, after the sale has been rung-up. They probably get away with this because they are the only high-end dealer in our working class neighborhood. I will never ever buy from Friedmans again.

Today I took my elderly mom to purchase a new oven. We visited a couple of appliance stores and one suggested that we check out Friedman's. It was kind of the salesman to suggest we check out another competing store, but he lost the sale because we found a very knowledgeable sales person at Friedmans, James Plitt, who took his time to show us several models and explained each one. He also looked into the old warranty of the product we were replacing and helped us work out the details with the warranty company, that was going to reimburse half the cost to my mother. I would recommend that if you were in the market for a new appliance, whether its an oven or stove or whatever it may be, please go and see James Plitt, he's been an employee there for 11 years (that's what he told me) and he definitely knows all of his products. I will buy my next appliance from him again!!
