Simmons Exceptional Center is an educational facility that provides a range of learning opportunities for more than 230 students in kindergarten through grade 12. It offers classes in physical education, math and music. The school also provides the Adopt A Road program. Simmons Exceptional Center conducts various basketball tournaments. It is a part of Hillsborough County Public Schools, which enrolls students in elementary, middle and high schools. The district offers guidance counseling and technical education services. Hillsborough County Public Schools educational facilities include B.T. Washington Elementary, Alonso High School and Durant High School. It operates administration, business, human resources, and information and technology divisions.
