Absolutely superior service, attention to detail and in-depth knowledge of the products offered. Mike is a consummate professional who's years of experience provided invaluable in our decision process. His first attention is to the safety of your home and family in installing and refurbishing fireplaces. His wife Kathy, who provides administrative support, was a true pleasure and consistently followed up by phone or email to each request. HIGHLY RECOMMEND!

I am thrilled with the work American Chimney and Fireplace did for us. We had 3 fireplaces that were never were used. Mike Kravas came to our house and gave a very reasonable estimate which we accepted. The fireplaces look beautiful. After, the work was done they left my house spotless. I tell everyone who asks about them to call Mike. He is a great guy and really knows what he is doing.

Excellent work and price. Highly recommend. They rebuilt my chimneys now all my neighbors want theirs done! Mike and his workers are great. They are doing my fireplaces in the fall. So glad I found them. Mike actually gave us some money off the original total because he finished the job a day ahead of schedule. What a nice honest guy. That's hard to find in a contractor these days. ******

My fireplace is beautiful! Mr. Kravas came to our home and gave us an estimate to convert an wood fireplace to gas. Mike was very knowledgeable and answered all of questions. Once we received his proposal we were pleasantly surprised to find the cost of the work was within our budget. We had the work done and are considering having the other fireplace done. We give American Chimney & Fireplace's 5 stars! Excellent!

I am thrilled with the service I received from Mike and his crew. Not only are they professional but they are also polite and very friendly. I had my chimneys rebuilt and fireplace redone. If you are looking to have chimney work or fireplace work done I highly recommend you contact them. I received several estimates prior to American Chimney and Fireplace's and none of the other company's gave me options like Mike did. Do yourself a favor and call them before you accept another company's estimate - you won't be sorry.

The Chimney cap on my house needed repaired and I had chunks of mortar falling down and some of the bricks were peeling apart. Member Comments: Mike came to my house earlier in the summer and not only did he give me an estimate, he actually understood the problem behind the peeling bricks and cracking mortar. Where two other contractors were simply going to re-brick the top 7 rows, Mike investigated and discovered that I had a bigger moisture problem because I had an improper liner in the chimney for venting my furnace. Mike's estimate was a little above the two other bids but I understood what he was going to do and it made total sense. And he was doing a bit more work than the other two proposed. I was very confident in his work and his crew and feel his estimate was justified. The only issue someone may have is the wait time. Because he is good, American Chimney had a lot of jobs lined up last summer. Mike was up front about the time line. He gave me an estimate in June and told me

Mike came out to evaluate an existing ventless ceramic-log gas fireplace system that was installed before we purchased our home and that we have never used. While here, he discovered that the pipe sending gas to the system was leaking and he returned later that same day to cut off the pipe and cap it to stop the leak.Member Comments: Mike was friendly, professional, knowledgeable and punctual. He cleaned out our fireplace and explained how the gas, ceramic log system works. He let us know there was some improper installation and detailed what we'd need to do to rectify it (install a hood). In trying to get the system to work, we discovered that the remote control was non-operable and that the gas pipe feeing the system was leaking. Mike returned later that day amid a very busy schedule to cut off and cap the pipe to stop the leak. Unfortunately, due to the remote control not working and no longer having a gas line to feed the logs, we were not able to get the fireplace working. We rece

Mike installed a vent-free gas log fireplace system for us, including installing a new gas line, a deflector hood, and getting a very finicky remote control system (that was bought by the prior owners of our house) to work!Member Comments: I had gotten an estimate from Mike in February 2009. At that time, he discovered a gas leak in the existing gas line to the fireplace, which he capped. He also cleaned out the fireplace. He gave me an estimate for the cost of a vent-free gas log system with logs that the prior owners of our house purchased as well as an estimate for a set of new vent-free gas logs in case the ones that were already here did not work. In addition, Mike explained that we would need a deflector hood across the fireplace opening to compensate for there being less than 6 inches of facing. I called Mike in late November to say we were ready to move forward with the installation, and he was able to schedule me within 2.5 weeks. Mike was extremely responsive each time I call

I called American Chimney & Fireplace to get an estimate to convert my wood burning fireplace to gas logs. They called me back right away and came an gave me a free estimate. The gentleman that came ( Mike ) was polite, on time and very knowledgeable. Mike came me several options of what I could do with my fireplace. I received a written estimate within several days. Once Mike and his workers came to do the work they finished the job leaving no mess and I was thrilled. I love my gas logs and am thinking about having more work done. I recommend this company highly. Give them a call you will be thrilled with the service you receive.
