After-Hours LET DOWN

The doctors I've seen are knowledgeable, courteous and concerned....However, don't expect this to be a doctor's office where you can actually get through to a human being if you have an after hours question or emergency! I like the security of knowing I can get through to my doctor, or at least someone on call, if I have an emergency that I don't choose to spend a thousand dollars on in the emergency room. This is not the place for that security. After a week of severe pain (possible kidney stone) I was ASSURED if I had any problems whatsoever over the weekend all I had to do was call the office number for a listing of the after-hours number to call. It was a big fat lie!!! There is NO SUCH MESSAGE. Only a basic "if you've reached this recording, we're obviously closed...good luck sucker" message. If you have a baby, please, as a mother, my advice is to RUN to your nearest pediatric office and find yourself a RELIABLE DOCTOR!!
