iI do NOT recommend this shop. I brought my 80s Toyota in to have the engine rebuilt. I was told that it would cost $800 and that it would take about 5 days to take the engine out, rebuild it, and reinstall it. I said I needed it for work and they said it would not be a problem. It took EIGHT WEEKS to get it back. It didn't sound right when I picked it up, they said it was OK. A few weeks later I had coolant in the antifreeze, turns out the head was bad, they knew it was bad but didn't tell me while it was being rebuilt. They fixed the head for a fair price but it took another EIGHT WEEKS to get it back. Then a few weeks after that there was an oil leak on the bottom of the engine. It turned out that the oil pump had been siliconed on the outside instead of having the gasked replaced. To be fair Auto Spec did not gouge me on the prices. So in summary I think Auto Spec is more incompetent than dishonest.
