Horrible experience anytime you have to get a lawyer involved it's bad. 20,000 down the drain. Very unorganized school. Careless educators. Been stop teaching students I. Jan. But stay giving out test with the x information to study. Can care less how you feel play favoritism between black n white students all the time. I would not recommend this location. The administration has no respect treat and talk to students like they kid's do not teach you nothing but 3 months of education tge rest of the months they more worried about keeping thy clients paying and coming in. Still don't no how to do half the things I went for because of poor teaching ist a waist of your money.

Horrible Experience

So as soon as i walked in the door there is a lady at the front desk who is so much into her paperwork that she doesn't even acknowledge me. I work as a receptionist and i know all about customer service and hers was very poor. After several minutes of students and instructors passing me by without asking me what type of service i wanted i asked for a disclaimer. I wrote on their log sheet at 5:45 the persons name who always does my hair and the type of service i was requesting. After waiting an hour and a half for her she comes to the waiting area and says how she didn't know i was there and that she was booked. Now the instructor knew i was waiting for her and did not tell her that i was there and claimed having no knowledge that she was booked. Needless to say i was highly angry that i had waited for almost two hours and she was not able to do my hair. Isn't it the instructors job to have known that she was booked. I even asked the instructor if i was next and she said she would find out and i never was told anything. instead of waiting for almost two hours I could have had someone else do my hair if only the instructor was doing her job in knowing what was going on. I ended up leaving and needless to say i will never return. Which is a shame because i don't always have 30-40 to spend on a hairstyle. i am a single mother of three and sometimes it's nice to save a little money while giving the students some practice. On top of the students practicing and learning how a salon operates the instructor also needs an instruction on customer service. 1522 chesnut st. in philadelphia, pa.

It so mess over there

I was there with my girl, she wanted to learn more about their prices and training hours. They give her application with questions like: why she need that(???), why she want to get that licence, what she will do after that, what she want to get in that school and which skills she has(???). She just want to know more about that school! Manager spoke with her 15 min and did't say about prices nothing.

There are a lot of people and chairs, but Professionals and Students looks the same. It's looks like big mess and not professional place. But it should be.

RUDE RECEPTIONIST PASS ON THIS PLACE

Today I called the school to inquire about having my daughters hair styled in a simple up do for her junior prom that was tonight.I asked if I could make an appointment and (please note) I called at 9 am, I was told by the women that ansewered the phone it would be $ 18.00 and I could just come in there are no appointments on saturday. Please also note I had my hair my cut here last saturday and my daughter had her hair colored and cut 4 weeks ago also a saturday we walked in and both times it was around noon we were serviced and had a good experiences wich is why we went back.So we went in at noon and were greeted but the same women I had talked to on the phone she said what do you need I said I called earlier about the style for my daughter and she as rude as could be said we are closing early we are booked for the rest of the day and can't help you.She the said I told you when you called we might close early I said no you didn't or I would have come in then she proceeded to be nasty and then admitted maybe she didn't tell me that but couldn't help us any way. Just because its a school does not mean you can be rude and lack customer service skills. My daughter could not get her hair done we went to 4 places but no luck had she told me at 9am she could not help me or to come in right away we would have or I could of called other places and found some one. I will never go back and I have been recomending lots of people to go there but I will let them know to pass on it. I do not know her name but she was also there last saturday she takes the money and sits at the desk where you come in.

cut & color

I was leaving on vacation and could not get my hair cut before I left. When arriving in MD I called the beauty school - no appointments, just walk in. I got right in and had my hair cut. I live in New England and the girl who cut my hair has an aunt who lives in our town! Small world! We discussed color (which I desperately needed as well) and I went back the following day for that. Very accommodating, everyone there was very nice and helpful, and I love my cut and color. Arriving back home and coming back to work, I received many compliments. Everyone loves the 'do.

Thanks for helping me out in a pinch. And thanks to Jess and Jen for the super jobs they did.

Empire is not in Chico!

This school is not even located ANYWhere in California! So, as a consumer I challenge them to provide me with a service...or at least some truth in advertising. When I called, Melissa (who answered the phone) had to admit that she didn't even know when they were going to be coming to California! But they have plans!!!

I aplogize for any confusion. Empire is currently in 19 states and has 88 schools, which requires us to do National Advertising on Yellowpages.com. YP.com automatically sets a response that states "Serving the Chico Area," even though we do not. Hopefully we will soon be in an area near you. If you click "visit the web site," you would recieve the appropriate information.

Not happy with the service

I had my hair cut at Empire Beauty School and it was a mess. The student didn't know to cut my hair and the instructor didn't want to help. I felt bad for the student. I had to go to another school and they fixed it for free because they felt so bad for me. Do not go there if you value your hair.
