- SinusitisThe talented physicians at ENT and Allergy Specialists can treat a multitude of chronic nasal and sinus conditions including chronic sinusitis, nasal polyps, and chronic nasal obstruction which may result from a deviated nasal septum, enlarged nasal turbinates, and nasal valve dysfunction all of which are essential for healthy breathing.
- Medical Weight LossSnoring, restless sleep and daytime fatigue could all be symptoms of obstructive sleep apnea, a condition where breathing stops for ten seconds or more, repeatedly throughout the night. Obstructive sleep apnea is usually caused when the tissue at the back of the throat collapses, narrowing the airway. Treatment for sleep apnea may include the use of Continuous Positive Airway Pressure (CPAP), oral appliance therapy, surgery, weight management, or lifestyle changes.

Symptoms include difficulty breathing, coughing up mucus, hoarseness, fever, or a bluish tint to the skin caused by lack of oxygen. Aspiration pneumonia is generally treated with antibiotics. Sometimes, an individual may be evaluated by a speech therapist for aspiration potential, and dietary changes may be recommended, such as thickened liquids and soft foods

- BotoxNon-surgical procedures —Techniques such as chemical peels, microdermabrasion, and injectables. Injectables are medications that can be placed under the skin to improve the appearance of the face, such as botox, collagen, Restylane, and other fillers.
- LiposuctionThe range of conditions that otolaryngologists diagnose and treat are widely varied and can involve the whole face, nose, lips, ears, and neck. Facial plastic surgery treats a specific component of these conditions and can be divided into two types—reconstructive and cosmetic. Reconstructive plastic surgery is performed for patients with conditions that may be present from birth, such as birthmarks on the face, cleft lip and palate, protruding ears, and a crooked smile. Other conditions that are the result of accidents, trauma, burns, or previous surgery are also corrected with this type of surgery. Also, some reconstructive procedures are required to treat existing diseases like skin cancer. Cosmetic facial plastic surgery is surgery performed to enhance the visual appearance of the facial structures. Typical procedures include facelifts, eye lifts, rhinoplasty, and liposuction. An otolaryngologist surgeon is well trained to address all of these problems.
- RhinoplastyAre you experiencing difficulty breathing through your nose? You may have chronic nasal congestion, a nasal deformity or a deviated septum. Many times over the counter and prescription medications only mask the symptoms without addressing the actual cause. It’s important to see an Ear, Nose and Throat doctor for the correct diagnosis and treatment plan. Depending on your diagnosis, Rhinoplasty, Septoplasty or Advanced Endoscopic Sinus Surgery may be recommended to help you breathe better.
- Plastic SurgeryAn otolaryngologist can receive up to 15 years of college and post-graduate training in plastic surgery, concentrating on procedures that reconstruct the elements of the face.

- FungusLaryngitis is an inflammation of the vocal cords that can be caused by overuse, irritation, excessive coughing, smoking, alcohol consumption, or infection from a virus, bacteria, or fungus. In addition to hoarseness, symptoms of laryngitis can include dry, sore throat, coughing, difficulty swallowing, fever, swollen lymph glands, and cold/flu-like symptoms.
- LesionsSometimes when you have a dry or scratchy throat, you may also experience a raspy or strained voice, commonly described as hoarseness. Usually, hoarseness is caused by a swelling of the vocal folds which produce the sounds from the voice box, also known as the larynx. The result is laryngitis and changes in the voice. Hoarseness can also be caused by a cold or flu, vocal cord lesions, a vocal hemorrhage, gastroesophageal reflux (GERD) disease, smoking, neurological disorders, allergies, thyroid problems, injuries, and other factors. If hoarseness lasts more than two weeks, it’s best to consult a doctor for an evaluation. Recommendations may range from symptom management to voice therapy, surgery, or a combination of treatments.
