I came up to the Little Texan's Learning Academy with my brother-in-law a few days ago. We went to pick up my nephew who attends there. My sister has been talking about this place since she started sending him there. I was curious to see for myself what they loved about it, especially since I may be relocating. The parking lot situation is a little rough. Once I was inside my frustrations quickly faded away. I was greeted by a woman named Ms. Melissa. She was very welcoming. Once I explained who I was and what brought me in she offered to gave me a tour. Some of the areas seemed a little cluttered but the staff was working on that while I was there.
As we walked down the hall we encountered a group of young children about 4 years of age. The kids came up to her and high-fived her and were genuinely happy to see her. After greeting the children she had them get back in their lines and then praised them for a job well done. I was introduced to the teacher of this group. Her name was Ms.Sosa. Ms. Sosa told me that she teaches K-4 and explained that K-4 is the Kindergarten Readiness Learning Program.
As Ms. Melissa and I continued on our tour we passed the infant room for 12-18 month olds. As I peeked into the room I could see the teacher playing with and engaging the children down on the floor. They were smiling and laughing. They looked to be having a great time. I believe I was told her name was Ms. Ellie.
Some of the play equipment seemed a little dated and could use and upgrade, as could the parking lot. Overall, I am very satisfied with this place. The teachers sense of safety and awareness when it comes to the children is absolutely on point. As a parent, some would say and overprotective one, my child's safety and happiness are very important to me. I genuinely think that this is a good, healthy environment where children would be able to thrive. I would be confident putting my child in the care of this facility. I would encourage you to do the same.
