A warning to all clients that they need to pay close attention to the billing practices of Willow Knolls Family Dental. They lost a payment in their system that I made in December of last year. In February or March they started sending me invoices for this same amount due, I contacted them saying this payment had been made and told them the transaction details. They continued to argue with me that they searched their system and had no record of any payment. I went as far as to conference in a representative from my Health Spending Account vendor to tell them directly that this payment had been taken out of my account and on which date, they continued to tell me they would review with their accountant and that I would get a return call. A return call I never got.Fast forward to December and I receive a collection letter. I had to involve an attorney who provided the exact same information I had previously provided. This time they must have taken me seriously because now they were able to find the missing transaction, somehow they were looking on the wrong day last December despite multiple previous attempts telling them exactly which day to look for my payment. They were very apologetic about the mistake that was entirely theirs, but after a YEAR of going back and forth with them all over a balance of less than $60 it's inexcusable.Long story short, whoever is handling their billing is inept and customer service is sub-par. I spent hours myself trying to get them to research the payment I made, it wasn't until involving an attorney did they do their due diligence and found the payment I made a year ago.I cannot recommend their services to anyone.

I went to him with a tooth hurting in the cold air. He said I needed at least 3 teeth crowned. He wanted to do them all at once. My insurance covered some and I had about 900.00 to pay. I did. He did the work. It took about 6 hours. He ground those teeth to nothing. He gave me a shot in my muscle which stayed painful for at least 3 weeks. For a little over a month I was in pain everyday. The crown came out more than once, the air hurt my teeth worse, my jaw hurt. I couldn't chew food. They were giving me a pain killer to numb the pain. I ate noodles for Christmas dinner becasue I could still not chew after 3 weeks. It was the worst experience ever. Even during all this they were trying to get me to have more work done. Then I started getting bills that they said should have been covered when I got the teeth worked on. I had to deal with this for another 5-6 months. Terrible experience. After all that, no compensation, no apology, just a "where have you been letter". NEVER EVER again!

I went in for a cleaning and a filling. I was in the office for over six hours while the dentist attended other patients. He ultimately attempted to pull a wisdom tooth -- it broke during extraction. I have since learned that this is VERY aggressive treatment by a dentist. An oral surgeon removed the remains of the tooth. This additional work cost $1,000. Dr. Ajala also told me I needed 4 more crowns. I said I needed to wait until my insurance kicked back in at the beginning of the year, he asked me if I cared about my teeth. He then sent his assistant to speak with me who offered to discount my bill by the amount insurance would pay in the new year. I said I need to talk to my wife about spending that kind of money ($3,500). His assistant told me to call my wife on the spot so I could go ahead with the treatment. I left and sought a second opinion -- the new dentist recommended 1 crown and a filling. I paid only $800 and feel very comfortable that this treatment was correct

worst experience with a dentist.I switched dentist due to a job change and this dentist was part of my HMO plan. He insisted that I needed extensive dental work (6 crowns). I paid this dentist my portion of the bill on the day services were provided. This dental practice does not send out financial statements / bills / or return money on account. I recently found out that my insurance company had paid more than expected on my dental bill and this dentist has keep over $1000 dollars of my money for over a year. I have requested a refund on several occasions but they have not followed through on refunding my money. A very unethical business practice!! I would not recommend this dental practice to anyone!!
