      General Info
      Founded in 1972, HeartCare Midwest specializes in a range of cardiovascular services. The center offers cardiac resynchronization therapy, catheter ablation, heartbeat monitoring and implantable cardiac defibrillator services. It provides nuclear isotope exercise and treadmill stress testing and intravascular ultrasound and endomyocardial biopsy solutions. HeartCare Midwest s intervention services include cardioversion, brachytherapy, congenital anomaly stent placement and rotational coronary atherectomy. The center performs coronary artery bypass graft and thoracic aorta surgeries, heart transplants, transmyocardial revascularizations, and valve repair and replacements. It specializes in the treatment of lung, esophageal, chest wall and pleural tumors. HeartCare Midwest also offers angiography, angioplasty and carotid endarterectomy services. The center serves the OSF Saint Francis Medical Center, Methodist Medical Center and Cottage Hospital. It maintains a location in Peoria, Ill.
